Democracy The Second International Forum for the Equal Value of Humanity was successfully held in Beijing on March 23. More than 300 delegates from more than 100 countries and regions participated in it either online or offline. In this forum, former leaders of many countries, representatives of international organizations and experts deliberated on issues such as democracy and global governance, democracy and diversities of civilization, democracy and modernization. They are of the view that democracy is the common value of humanity and the ways to accomplish democracy are diverse. Exporting the so-called democracy model is against the democratic spirit. Coexistence of different civilizations is the way for the healthy development of human civilization. We should build a common future for humanity together by strengthening exchanges and respecting diversity.
The delegates are of the view that the comprehensive procedural democracy introduced and developed by China has created parallels and mobilized forces for Chinese modernization. The Chinese democratic way has provided Chinese wisdom for the progress of world political civilization. The forum was jointly organized by the Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the Information Office of the State Council.
