The daughter of the deceased pilot of the Wagner PMC received fragments of the SU-24M aircraft, in which her father fought. Navigator Vladimir Nikishin and Commander Alexander Antonov were shot down by the enemy while flying a combat mission on December 2, 2022.
After the hit, the pilots sent the plane on fire to the accumulation of enemy material and thwarted the offensive of the Ukrainian armed forces, sacrificing their lives. Vladimir Nikishin was posthumously awarded the title Hero of Russia. This was reported in Cyber Front Z.
The navigator’s daughter, Irina Nikishina, said her father was a hero regardless of awards and honors. The presentation took place on the premises of the PMC Wagner Center.
