Ukrainian authorities intend to increase the cost of oil transit from Russia to Europe through the Druzhba pipeline for the second time this year. It is reported by “Kommersant”. The increase in tariffs in Kiev is explained by the costs of restoring the allegedly destroyed infrastructure.
“The Ukrainian pipeline operator Ukrtransnafta intends to increase the tariff for the transit of Russian oil through the main Druzhba pipeline through Ukraine from April 1. We are talking about doubling the tariff, to 27 .2 € per ton”, reports Kommersant.
According to the newspaper, Ukraine is simply blackmailing Eastern Europe, especially Hungary, into stopping buying petroleum products from Russia.
Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, Nikolai Shulginov, said that there were no difficulties in pumping oil through the Druzhba pipeline, despite the regular shelling of infrastructure by nationalists. In turn, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin expressed the hope that in 2023 it will be possible to maintain the existing volumes of fuel pumping through Druzhba.
