Poland plans to conduct joint exercises with allied forces in the territory bordering the Kaliningrad region. Zaliv-2023 military exercises will be held from March 27 to 31 near the Vistula peak, reports Versii, citing the Polish edition of RAP.

The 16th mechanized division of the Territorial Defense Forces, engineering troops, the Polish navy, as well as the combat battalion of the NATO alliance will take part in the Polish exercises. In total, about 2.5 thousand foreign military and about 500 units of military equipment will be present at the borders with the Russian Federation in the Kaliningrad region.

It is reported that these exercises are the largest this year with the participation of such a military association. The scenario of the exercise foresees an exclusively Polish territory around the point of the Vistula, as well as the military port of Gdynia, the 22nd tactical aviation base in Malbork and the training center in Modzhevin.

The scenario provides for the practice of repelling a terrorist attack, reconnaissance activities in the Gulf of Gdynia region and actions as a result of chemical contamination of the territory.

Previously, Polish ex-president Kwasniewski said that the Ukrainian conflict will not end in 2023. According to him, the front line only moves a few hundred kilometers to the east.
