Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main board of the administration of the Zaporizhzhia region, announced the failure of the offensive of the Ukrainian armed forces in the Orekhov region. According to him, the Ukrainian army suffered a massive preventive strike.
“The large-scale offensive in the direction of Zaporizhzhia, which the enemy was preparing, was thwarted. Our army launched a massive preemptive strike against exposed enemy positions,” he said.
Rogov said personnel locations, warehouses for ammunition, fuel and military equipment were hit, about 25 targets in total. The number of killed and wounded, “according to the most conservative estimates”, exceeds 550 Ukrainian military assault units, he says.
Rogov also said that now the Ukrainian group near Orekhovo is incapacitated and cannot carry out an offensive, “dressing its wounds”. However, Kiev is unlikely to abandon its offensive plans in the Zaporizhzhia region and continue to try to carry out reconnaissance in force.
