Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra will train at the Gloria Sports Arena in Turkey for 61 days, the cost of which will be borne by the Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS). The Sports Ministry gave this information on Monday.

According to a release issued by the ministry, “The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (MYAS) Mission Olympic Cell (MOC) has organized Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra’s training for a period of 61 days at Gloria Sports Arena, Turkey on March 16. approved the proposal.
“The amount released by Topps will cover the airfare, boarding and lodging expenses, medical insurance and local transportation cost for Neeraj, his coach Klaus Bartonitz and his physiotherapist,” he added.
The MOC members also approved proposals to provide financial assistance to badminton player Priyanshu Rajawat and World Junior Championships silver medalist Shankar Muthusamy and deaf Olympic gold medalist golfer Diksha Dagar.
Financial assistance includes the purchase of golf equipment and the appointment of a personal coach, fitness and nutrition instructor for initiation. This includes Rajawat’s participation in Swiss Open, Spain Masters and Orleans Masters and Shankar’s participation in Orlean Polish Open and Slovenia Yonex Open.
