Ukraine currently unable to launch retaliatory strike: Volodymyr Zelenskyy

Kiev: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that his country is unable to retaliate due to lack of weapons in the current situation. Zelenskyyy said in an interview with the newspaper, “We cannot start now. We cannot send our brave soldiers to the frontline without Tanks, Artillery and Multi Purpose Rocket System (HIMARS).”

He added that Ukraine is currently waiting for arms supplies from its allies and the situation in the eastern part of the country is unfavourable. French President Emmanuel Macron said on Friday that after listening to Zelenskyyy by video link, EU leaders reassured Ukraine’s president that they would help him win the fight against Russia.

It is noteworthy that Russia started its special military operation in Ukraine on February 24 last year. Since then, Ukraine has been facing an arms shortage. He is constantly demanding arms from European countries.
