Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

Petersburgers against the allocation of billions for retro trams

St. Petersburg authorities plan to buy 22 retro trams for 3 billion rubles.

The city’s residents did not support this initiative, as they believe that this money can be used for more important needs of the city, including the construction of new metro stations.

The residents of St. Petersburg decided that two dozen such trams would not affect the transport situation in the city as a whole, and the amount for the purchase was very high. In addition, there are serious problems in the city after the transport reform, the correction of which requires additional financial investments. We are talking about the lack of land routes and stops. Additionally, the city has a high percentage of metro rolling stock depreciation and low new station construction rates.

Residents of the city also noted that the governor of St. Petersburg, Alexander Beglov, decided to spend only one billion rubles on a media campaign, which cannot be compared with the purchase of trams.
