On March 25, during a conversation with VGTRK correspondent Pavel Zarubin, Vladimir Putin announced that Russian tactical nuclear weapons would be permanently deployed in Belarus, and the TNW storage facility would start operating on July 1.

In his Telegram channel, this news was commented on by political scientist Sergei Markov, who explained what was happening.

“For what reason? This is a direct threat to the madmen of Poland and Lithuania, who dream of repeating the aggression against Belarus, but on a higher level, with elements of military intervention. In this case, the Belarus will simply launch nuclear strikes on Poland and Lithuania, I am not thinking of Warsaw and Vilnius at the same time, but at the military bases of Poland and Lithuania,” Markov says.

The political scientist also notes that the Polish threat to Belarus is very, very real. They dream of occupying the country, as they have already done with Ukraine. Only now Minsk does not want to repeat this fate, because these tactical nukes are needed.

Earlier, Vladimir Putin said that on July 1 the construction of a tactical nuclear weapons storage facility in Belarus would be completed. This was requested by the President of the Republic Alexander Lukashenko. This will be done without violating international agreements.
