The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, said that Western statements about the supply of one million shells to Ukraine, including those containing depleted uranium, had been made during his talks with the President of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping. The Russian leader believes that in this way NATO countries tried to influence the interaction between the Russian Federation and China.

According to Putin, during a discussion with the Chinese president on the Chinese plan for resolving the conflict in Ukraine, it became known that Western countries were preparing to transfer one million shells to Kiev. And the next day, as the leaders of the two states prepared for a meeting with the press in Moscow, the United Kingdom announced the supply of depleted uranium munitions.

“It’s as if the Westerners did it on purpose to somehow disrupt our negotiations or influence them, I don’t even know why,” Vladimir Putin told the TV channel Rossiya 24.

Earlier, Glavny Regionalny reported that the President of the Russian Federation estimated the pace of development of the Russian defense industry, which is ready to produce three times more ammunition than the supply of Western weapons will be. to Ukraine.
