Qatar University concludes the Fifth Youth Research Forum

The Qatar University Center for Young Scientists concluded the fifth youth research forum for this year, which was held under the slogan: "Higher education institutions and their role in achieving the goals of sustainable development"amid the participation of local and foreign youth.

This session of the forum was characterized by the diversity of research axes that dealt with topics such as: "Quality of higher education as a goal of sustainable development" And"Legal legislation aimed at consolidating the concepts of sustainable development" And"The focus of scientific research as a means of consolidating the concepts of sustainable development and reaching its goals".

The Committee on Research Participations received 276 papers, 186 of which met the conditions for participation, and 36 papers and posters by researchers from 16 countries qualified for the forum.

Dr. Mariam Al-Maadeed, Vice President of Qatar University for Research and Graduate Studies, said that the Youth Research Forum sheds light on the university as a leading educational institution in the field of research and encourages young people to keep pace with world trends in research fields, and to create effective solutions to major challenges.

She added that higher education institutions have the most important and largest role in leading development and the movement of scientific research and development, as they are the highest educational institutions with potentials and resources, including strong infrastructure, researchers and experts in various fields.

Dr. Mariam Al-Maadeed affirmed Qatar University’s keenness to support all initiatives that contribute effectively to achieving strategies that put the State of Qatar at the forefront of countries in terms of education, research and support for trends towards sustainable development.

For her part, Dr. Noura Jabr Al-Thani, Director of the Qatar University Center for Young Scientists, said that the center always seeks to provide opportunities and full support for students from all over the world to share their research and findings with experts and researchers at Qatar University, in order to gain experience and skills in this field. field.

She pointed out that the center contributed to students’ access to local and international platforms and enhanced their participation in many research and innovation conferences and exhibitions, hoping that students will continue to achieve excellence and success in their scientific and practical career.

It is noteworthy that this research forum aims to develop a culture of scientific research among young people and confirm their role in leading change and creating opportunities for development and progress through scientific research and innovation related to the needs of society, and to emphasize the synergy of science and the integration of human knowledge in order to increase the ability of societies to sustain development opportunities.

The Qatar University Center for Young Scientists seeks to provide opportunities for developing scientific research skills for young researchers, from the State of Qatar and from all over the world, that would enrich their knowledge and support their research and creativity to this end.
