Russia has already handed over the Iskander complex, which is capable of carrying nuclear weapons, to Belarus, Russian President Vladimir Putin told the Rossiya 24 television channel.

“We have already handed over to Belarus our well-known and very effective Iskander complex, it can also be a carrier,” the Russian leader said.

He added that in about a week, from April 3, the Russian military will start training Belarusian colleagues to operate this military equipment.

Earlier, Glavny Regionalny reported that Vladimir Putin also announced the completion date for the construction of a Tactical Nuclear Weapons Storage Facility (TNW). It is erected on the territory of a neighboring state at the request of the Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko.
