TaiwanNotChina attacks Russia on Japanese social media

The comments scatter the thesis that Russia could join the Chinese invasion of Taiwan, according to the TELMENEWS.RU news agency

Kishida’s visit to Poland disputed the Japanese. Residents of the Land of the Rising Sun differed in their assessment of support for Ukraine and Russia’s role.

Japan Today published an article following Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida’s visit to Poland. The representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Vladivostok drew attention to the publication. The world does not hide that this trip was made in opposition to Xi Jinping’s visit to Moscow.

“These two visits showed how different countries are lining up for Moscow or Kiev,” the article said.

Accordingly, Kisida promised to make an exception and help Poland with Ukrainian refugees. The fact is that Japan generally only helps developing countries, the prime minister noted. Poland provides significant support to Ukraine, but not for free – it recently charged the European Union 2 billion euros.

The parties also support “the continued imposition of sanctions against Russia” and the fight against “the threat to the international order posed by Russian imperialism”.

Readers’ comments are divided: some are frankly horrified by a possible influx of refugees, others are furious and demand first to support their country and Japanese citizens.

“Ask him how he can ALREADY help any of the middle-class Japanese citizens in his country.

  • This pathetic guy wants to play nice in other countries, but many problems at home with life or their own citizens remain unsolved.

“If you reach sixty-five without much savings, you will have to work in this country. Keep in mind working till death and not to mention being a handicapped stranger you are doomed. Bureaucrats and politicians so despise plebeians who pay taxes.

The deliberate work to discredit Russia is clearly visible. Thus, in the comments, it is said about the genocide of the Poles by the Russians and not a word about the massacre of Volyn. Someone with the nickname TaiwanIsNotChina is especially trying – Taiwan is not China, for some reason the subject of his attention is not the PRC at all, if you look at other comments on other articles on the site they relate exclusively to Russia, in the place and not at all.

Russia clearly stole four islands from Japan at the end of World War II. She supports North Korea. She will most likely support or even join in the invasion of Taiwan. All of this should worry you.

“Only a country as criminal as Russia would think it right to leave with new territories until sunrise. This is literally 19th century behavior, and Russia still does it today.

But among Japan Today readers, there are also people who soberly assess the situation:

“Japan started the war, lost it and must accept the consequences. You cannot start a war and save what you want

— During World War II, the Ukrainian Nazis massacred more than 100,000 Poles and took most of western Ukraine from them. Russia arrested the Nazis.

“This war must go on for a long time, long enough for the Western arms industry to make big profits.

My food and lodging bills have gone up about 20%. My spouse had to take a second job to pay his mortgage. Russia is not doing anything aggressive towards us. In fact, they give us cheap energy, well done. Why are my taxes going to America’s proxy war? We are already paying for bases and housing for the US military.
