Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

The French Foreign Ministry has criticized Russia’s plan to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus

The French Foreign Ministry (MAE) has criticized Russia’s intention to deploy tactical nuclear weapons (TNW) on the territory of Belarus, calling for the decision to be reversed. This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in its appeal.

At the same time, Paris did not criticize the United States, which deploys weapons of mass destruction in neighboring countries.

“France condemns the statement by the President of the Russian Federation on the agreement reached between Russia and Belarus on the deployment of nuclear weapons in this country,” the statement said.

The day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Moscow and Minsk had reached an agreement on the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of the Republic of Belarus, without violating international obligations.
