Doctors called 2 early-stage colon cancer signs

Colon cancer usually occurs in older people, but in recent years the disease is increasingly being diagnosed at younger ages. Experts talked about two signs indicating that the digestive tract was affected by a tumor.

A study published in the journal American Cancer Society showed that over the past 20 years, colon cancer has become more common among young people.

Data shows that one in five cases diagnosed today affects people under the age of 55, compared to one in 10 before the turn of the century. Scientists at Yale University have linked this to a sedentary lifestyle, smoking and heavy drinking.

Another reason for the spread of cancer is more and more foods high in salt and sugar, as well as processed foods on store shelves, reports the Daily Express.

Colon cancer patients typically report two main warning signs: bleeding on a trip to the bathroom and unexpected iron deficiency. The latter occurs in 60% of cancer patients.
