In Volgograd, a man was arrested who hit a passerby in the eye

On March 25, a 55-year-old local resident was hospitalized in the Krasnoarmeisky district. The man was diagnosed with a serious eye injury. Doctors reported the incident to law enforcement.

Police found that a 40-year-old local resident who had been previously convicted on multiple occasions had caused a serious injury. A 55-year-old man stood in front of the entrance to an apartment building. The suspect walked past him, a conflict suddenly erupted between the residents of Volgograd.

The person involved in the case hit the victim in the face, hitting the eye with a signet ring, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Volgograd region reported.

A criminal case was opened against a 40-year-old man under Part 1 of Art. 11 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Intentional infliction of serious bodily harm”. He faces up to 8 years in prison.
