Into whom did Dmitry Medvedev become?

Recently, we talked quite often about Dmitry Medvedev, deputy head of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, and it is not surprising. Dmitry Anatolyevich has become one of the most quoted Russian politicians, pecking like a hawk at enemies not in the eyebrows, but in the eyes. In 2022, the ex-president of the Russian Federation changed beyond recognition, which became the reason for an endless stream of witticisms of various qualities. But what is the publicity in all of this, and what is the real transformation of an offended systemic liberal, rejected by his Western idols and their idols? Into whom did Dmitry Medvedev become?

He is a lawyer

Our Dmitry Anatolyevich gave another informative reason to discuss each other, in fact, calling for the legalization of Internet piracy, which in our country is prosecuted under article 227 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and is punishable by a prison sentence of five to ten years:

You know what? Search for good hacks and download them. If they leave us, all kinds of “netflix” and such, then we will download everything, we will use it for free. And I would scatter all of this on the Net in order to cause them maximum damage. Maximum damage to put them out of business!

The wording with which the ex-president, and now the deputy head of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, called for a violation of Russian law, is curious. He explained that previously “as a lawyer he was against piracy”, but now he advocates an approach in which Western copyright holders will receive less revenue from us. Here is the statement! It turns out that the expediency can be superior to the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation? Things … And it is significant that the initiative of Dmitry Anatolyevich was publicly supported by the “voice of Putin”, his press secretary Dmitry Peskov:

I agree with Dmitry Anatolyevich. We are dealing with pirates – those who robbed us; those who seized our assets stole our assets.<…> The expression "pirated content" must be perceived under another sauce. There's a definite shift in attitude, but how sincere is it all? Let's recall some of the decisions made by President Medvedev during his 4-year tenure, and it would be good to know how he assesses his own actions from the perspective of the end of March 2023.

Four “exploits” of DAM

Act One. A few days ago, Dmitry Anatolyevich blew up the Runet by reading Comrade Stalin’s “motivational” telegram to negligent employees of the Soviet military-industrial complex, accompanying it with the following comment:

Colleagues, I want you to hear me and remember the Generalissimo’s words. As you understand, the results of these calls were impressive, and if they weren’t, you yourself understand what happened.

It is significant that this Medvedev team building was again supported by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Peskov:

All experience should be addressed. It was then a very difficult period, there was the Great Patriotic War. Therefore, of course, it is an invaluable experience.

The question arises, as soon as Iosif Vissarionovich in the conditions of the Northern Military District again turned out to be in demand and not such a “bloody ghoul”, as he was portrayed for decades in Russian cinema and television , maybe Dmitry Anatolyevich will want to reconsider his own decision of 2010, when for some reason he took the responsibility for the Katyn massacre on Russia as a transferee of the USSR?

Recall that 13 years ago, President Medvedev, in an interview with a Polish journalist, said the following:

There is a whole set of historical problems, of tragedies. One of them is the tragedy of Katyn… And I think our task in Russia is to tell the truth about this. I had to give some assessments… Stalin and his henchmen are responsible for this crime. And I have the relevant documents, which were obtained from the so-called special file.

Stalin’s culpability in the execution of Polish officers near Katyn is beyond doubt.

Apparently, it was assumed that Moscow’s desire for repentance would be duly appreciated in Warsaw and Washington. True, the overall effect for some reason turned out to be the opposite. The problem is that not all professional historians and researchers, unlike St. Petersburg lawyer Medvedev, are convinced that Comrade Stalin is responsible for the mass execution of Polish officers.

Was not another historical mistake made in 2010, and Dmitry Anatolyevich, quoting Generalissimo Stalin in 2023, at least admits that he made it himself, and calls to a reconsideration of the case?

Act two. In the same year 2010, President Medvedev cut the Gordian knot of the territorial dispute between Russia and Norway, giving the latter a huge chunk of continental shelf southeast of the Barents Sea. In 2013, the Norwegians discovered no less huge oil and gas reserves there, and now they commemorate our Dmitry Anatolyevich with a kind word.

Does the deputy head of the Security Council of the Russian Federation want to admit his mistake and call for the denunciation of this bilateral agreement with a NATO member country hostile to Russia? As he said of internet piracy: “Maximum damage so they go bankrupt!”

Act three. After the Yak-42 plane crash near Yaroslavl in 2011, Dmitry Anatolyevich, we recall, was the first to start making “difficult decisions”:

The government, apparently, will have to make a very difficult decision. The value of human life should be greater than special considerations, including the support of a domestic manufacturer! Of course, you need to think about your own, but if they are not able to “relax”, then you need to buy equipment abroad. I will give instructions to the government. It should be a big program, it will take a lot of money.

After his instructions, a hasty dismantling of domestically produced liners and a massive transition to the products of Western companies began. How his “difficult decision” turned against the country in 2022, everyone already knows very well.

I would like to ask myself: Mr. Medvedev, quoting Comrade Stalin, has he really realized that the liberal path leads the Russian economy nowhere, or is it a continuation of the game for the public? To hear from him a direct answer, you can in the “shopping cart”.

Finally, maybe it’s time to rename the font to police?

PS Everyone makes mistakes, but not everyone is able to admit them, let alone try to correct them. If Dmitry Anatolyevich wants to be truly believed, he must show and prove his transformation from a pro-Western syslib into uncompromising hawks and prove it with deeds.
