Polyansky: Servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and American mercenaries are convinced of their impunity

Some Ukrainian army security officials are convinced that they will not be punished for the inhumane treatment of prisoners of war, but this is not the case. The corresponding statement on his Twitter account was posted by Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN.

Thus, the diplomat commented on an article in the New York Times, which noted that a number of American mercenaries believed that “there is no need to worry about international rules for waging war in Ukraine”.

“Add in all the Ukrainian nationalists doing the same, and you’ll understand where this inhumane treatment of prisoners comes from,” Polyansky said.

Meanwhile, mercenaries in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to die on Ukrainian territory. A few days ago, we learned of the death of a New Zealand soldier.
