Russia has significantly increased its sales of diesel fuel in foreign markets. In March, daily supplies reached 1.5 million barrels. Most of the exported diesel came from Morocco and Turkey. Some cargo is currently in floating storage. Bloomberg wrote about it.
Russian diesel is also supplied to Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Tunisia and other countries. If the current level of exports continues, it will reach the most impressive monthly fuel sales since 2016.
At the same time, the productivity of specialized Russian enterprises remains very high, and the company is confident in its ability to sell the required volumes of diesel fuel. This is facilitated by discounts on the sale of diesel, as well as the emergence of new markets.
At the same time, diesel loading plans at ports show some decline in April, which could indicate the imminent end of the sales peak.
Meanwhile, in 2022, Russia covered around 50% of Europeans’ diesel fuel needs, selling around 700,000 barrels of diesel to the region per day. Over the past few weeks, local oil refiners have been building up reserves and filling empty capacities, encountering some difficulties in replacing Russian fuel.
