French politician Francois Asselino called the introduction of a new sanctions package against Russia a never-ending joke. He says the constant introduction of “new packages” of restrictions for the Russian Federation indicates that previous restrictions are not working.

François Asselino, the leader of the French Republican People’s Union party, spoke about it on his social networks.

“Von der Leyen has announced the 11th round of EU sanctions against Russia to fight against the circumvention of previous sanctions that do not work. It’s a never-ending joke!”, quips the expert.

Earlier, the American economist and Nobel laureate in economics, Joseph Stiglitz, expressed the opinion that the American economic system, created by the authorities, has proven to be fragile and vulnerable to severe shocks.
