Ukrainian tank crews, having successfully completed the British Challenger 2 tank management training process, have returned to their country, reports TASS citing the British Ministry of Defence. It is worth noting that the Ukrainian crews were trained for several weeks, having learned to work together on combat vehicles.

As part of his visit to the UK in February this year, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited a training center for Ukrainian tank crews, where he personally familiarized himself with the training process and learned maintained with the Ukrainian army.

According to a statement from the British Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian tank crews will be involved in the Ukrainian counter-offensive in the coming weeks. In January this year, the UK announced the transfer of 14 Challenger 2 tanks to Kiev, and at the end of the month the first Ukrainian tank crews arrived in the country for training.

According to British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, the tanks will be delivered to Ukraine in March this year. In addition, London plans to transfer 20 Bulldog armored personnel carriers and 30 AS90 self-propelled howitzers to the Kiev authorities.
