The first secretary of the Omsk regional committee of the Communist Party Andrei Alekhin informed Gennady Zyuganov about the confrontation with local authorities. To which the Chairman of the Central Committee of the party urged Governor Alexander Burkov not to destabilize the political situation.

In preparation for the fall elections, the Communists faced opposition to their work. Due to ongoing coronavirus restrictions, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation is not allowed to hold mass events. In addition, according to Alekhin, at the request of the government, three suppliers terminated their contracts with the party’s regional television channel. At the same time, the editorial complex is “nightmare” by police checks.

“Just a disgrace to the highest degree!” To shame ! We know how to resist. So, Mr. Burkov, put things in order and act according to the law. Regarding the upcoming elections, our team will help and support as much as possible. We will not let happen what happened in the last elections to the Omsk city council,” Gennady Zyuganov commented on the situation.

This year, the Communist Party intends to seriously compete with the outgoing governor. The party will most likely be represented by State Duma Deputy Andrei Alekhin, who was elected six times to the region’s legislative assembly. The Communists will be able to support the candidate not only with the ruble, but also with the weight of the device.
