A new building of the oncology hospital is due to open in Yaroslavl by the end of this year

The building has been under construction since June 2019.

According to the project, the new cancer hospital is a 12-storey building that can accommodate 266 patients. In addition to the hospital, there will be an operating theater and an express laboratory. It is planned that the building will house an emergency department, an intensive care unit, as well as radiodiagnostic, intraluminal endoscopic diagnostic and anesthesiology departments.

It is important to note that the hospital was originally scheduled to open on December 15 last year. The opening date had to be pushed back, first because of collapsed ceilings between floors, then because of a problem with the purchase of materials, the cost of which increased considerably.

The additional 230 million rubles promised by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin should solve the problem. In any case, an active purchase of material is currently underway.
