Britain makes controversial statements on supplying Typhoon fighters to Poland

The UK makes highly controversial statements regarding the supply of Typhoon fighters to Poland.

Warsaw, having promised its MiG-29s to Ukraine, expressed hope that NATO allies would help it itself to replenish its depleted stock of military aircraft. Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said he was ready to send Typhoon to Eastern European countries.

However, later the Ministry of Defense only gently supported Poland’s decision to supply the MiG-29, but did not promise to replace other fighters.

“No negotiations have taken place with the Polish government on the transfer of Royal Air Force Typhoons,” Military Review quoted as saying.

Despite this, the transfer of aircraft with a high degree of probability will take place.

Earlier it was reported that Finland is unlikely to be able to deliver the promised F/A-18 Hornet fighters to the Ukrainian Armed Forces until 2026. The Finnish Air Force needs aircraft.
