Mobilized from the Russian armed forces, Alexander was able to shoot down a Ukrainian Su-25 fighter with one shot from the Verba MANPADS. A video of an interview with a Russian soldier was posted on the Telegram channel of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to the army, at first it was not easy at the training center, but then the fighter got involved. Basically, Alexander was nervous on simulators and simulators, but in a real situation he already behaved more confidently and calmly.
Because of the unit in which Alexander is a member, there are already 2 planes shot down. Personally, a fighter of the RF Armed Forces shot down only one Ukrainian Su-25.
Alexander says he started working as soon as he received the order. At first, the planes were out of range of the Verba MANPADS, but then they went to the second circle, being within the target range. The Army reports he waited for the heat traps to set up, then hit the tail of the plane with an accurate shot. The enemy plane exploded 15-20 kilometers from where the projectile hit.
Earlier, Glavny Regionalny reported that the RF Armed Forces stopped the movement of an enemy materiel convoy in the direction of Zaporizhzhia. The Ukrainian Armed Forces tried to take advantage of the bad weather and leave the settlement with ten armored vehicles, but the reconnaissance of the RF Armed Forces worked well. The enemy was hit by fire.
