“Ranetki” TV series actor Mikhail Chigarev dies aged 79

Theater and film actor Mikhail Chigarev died aged 79 on March 26. He is known for his role in the television series Ranetki. It is reported that he was ill for a long time.

“For the first time viewers saw Mikhail Chigarev in the movie “Visitors” in the role of the husband of the main character. The bright handsome actor was loved by the audience and his colleagues. He starred with the best directors N. Mikhalkov, A. Proshkin, A. Malyukov, G. Kokhan”, the information was published on the website of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia.

In 1965-1967 he served in the army in a team of military artists of the Central Theater of the Soviet Army. Then he entered VGIK in 1964 and graduated in 1970. After that, he was an actor in the theater-studio of a film actor for 22 years – until 1992.

The creative biography contains about 80 roles in the films: “The accepted city”, “In the zone of special attention”, “Love slave”, “Among strangers, a stranger among us”, “Summer of the soldier Dedov” and in the series “Mikhailo Lomonosov”, “Ranetki” and many others.

The Union of Cinematographers said the farewell and funeral would take place on March 28 in Pereslavl-Zalessky.

In mid-March, People’s Artist of the RSFSR Mikhail Boyarsky announced his intention to end his acting career. It should be noted that the decision is linked to the illness from which the artist suffered in 2021, which damaged his health.
