Residents of Kazan will be able to hand over old tires for recycling

On April 2, Kazan will host an environmental campaign, during which citizens can recycle old car and bicycle tires. The tires will be used to manufacture components for the manufacture of safe surfaces for playgrounds and sports fields.

Recycled materials will be processed at a plant in the Tyulyachinsk region of the republic. There it will be used to make a coating for playgrounds.

Tires will be accepted for later recycling from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the mall’s open parking lot at 141 Pobedy Avenue, EcoLogic Group reported on VK.

It should be noted that used tires belong to the fourth class of danger and are subject to mandatory disposal. Discarded tires have been releasing toxic organic compounds into the soil for at least a hundred years. When burning a ton of used tires, hundreds of kilograms of soot and toxic gases are released into the environment.
