Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili continues to lose weight as he is unable to eat due to poisoning. Now the politician weighs 58 kilograms, reports RIA Novosti with reference to his mother Giuli Alasania.

“Saakashvili already weighs 58 kilograms. He is poisoned, so he cannot take food and the required amount of calories. The weight loss momentum continues,” Alasania said.

Earlier, Giorgi Grigolia, a physician on the board of the Georgia Ombudsman’s Office, said that after crossing the 55-kilogram mark, irreversible processes can begin in a politician’s body, as a result of which he risks to be bedridden. It was at the end of February, when Saakashvili’s weight was still 64 kilograms.

Earlier, the ex-president of Georgia said that weighing less than 60 kilograms threatens him with the occurrence of multiple organ failure – when failure develops simultaneously in several organ systems. On Sky News, the politician said he had lost almost half of his original weight of 120 kilograms.
