Reshaping Perspectives and Catalyzing Diplomatic Evolution

The Strategic Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced the capture of 15 Russian T-90M “Proryv” tanks

The Strategic Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) announced the alleged capture of 15 Russian T-90M Proryv tanks. There is no official confirmation of this information from the Russian side.

The Ukrainian media report notes that the T-90M is visually similar to the T-72, but has more powerful reactive armor and an improved gun. The tank is equipped with a Shtora electro-optical active protection system to protect against ATGMs with a semi-automatic command guidance system or corrected artillery ammunition.

Also, information from the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine refers to the French equipment installed on the tank.

Military expert Michael Peck previously compared the capabilities of the two main battle tanks of Russia and the United States in combat conditions on the territory of the special operation zone in Ukraine – the T-90M Proryv and Abrams.

The latest Russian tanks have at least three advantages over Western technology. Moreover, the T-90M “Breakthrough” vehicles were baptized by fire and have approximately equal chances in battles with the American Abrams and the German Leopard 2, the shooter with the call sign ” Shadow” shared with Izvestia.
