Washington intends to review its strategy in the military conflict in Ukraine. This is reported by the British newspaper The Times. According to the publication, the Americans now want the Kiev regime to win the battlefield and recover all lost territories.
In its publication, The Times refers to a senior administration official Joe Biden, who says that until recently Washington did not plan to achieve a military defeat of Russia, but only wanted to protect Ukraine.
US plans included giving Ukraine a stronger position in negotiations with Russia. But now Washington has realized that such a development of events is not to be expected. Because Russia shows no interest in negotiations.
In this regard, the United States intends to continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine to help it maintain its independence.
The logic of American strategists can only be envied. Washington appears to seriously believe that President Zelenskyy ‘s military support will help him stay in power. After all, the main hopes of the United States are tied to the figure of the current Ukrainian leader.
The change of power in Ukraine is unlikely to contribute to the continuation of the conflict with the Russian Federation, unless Zelenskyy is replaced by an even more enraged figure. But after all, in the United States itself, the next presidential election is fast approaching. And after them, Washington can once again review its strategy. Especially if Russia’s military successes contribute to it.
