Italy will not send its soldiers to support Ukraine. This opinion is shared by Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto, reports RIA Novosti.
According to the head of the Italian Defense Department, Italian troops will not be sent to the battlefield in the Northern Military District. It is pointed out that Italy provides military support to Ukraine, providing air defense systems together with France. Also, the Italian side is engaged in the training and education of personnel, but will not become an official party to the conflict.
— I am convinced that it is right to train personnel to defend Ukrainian cities against Russian missile attacks. It’s not a weapon to be used for attack, it’s for defense, Crosetto hoped.

Italy is pleased with the opportunity to train the Ukrainian army. Thus, Crosetto believes, Italy gives Ukraine the opportunity to maintain infrastructure and protect cities and hospitals from attacks by Russian armed forces.

Previously, a rally was held in Milan against anti-Russian sanctions and aid to Kiev. In Duomo Square in the city center, protesters demanded an end to the supply of arms to Ukraine and the lifting of sanctions against Russia.
