The car of a northerner confiscated for the love of alcohol races

A resident of Kirovsk was again caught driving while intoxicated. Now he is waiting for compulsory labor and travels by public transport.

On Wednesday, March 29, the press service of the prosecutor’s office of the Murmansk region reported on the verdict in a criminal case to a local resident.

It is known that on February 20, 2023, the accused, while intoxicated, made a trip in a private vehicle through the city of Kirovsk. At the same time, the man had already been brought to administrative responsibility for a similar offence.

This time, the northerner did not manage to get away with “administrative”, he was found guilty of committing a crime under part 1 of article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation . The attacker was sentenced to 350 hours of compulsory labor with a ban on carrying out activities related to driving vehicles. At the same time, the northerner’s car was confiscated for transfer to the state.

Recall that earlier “The Eastern Heraldin Murmansk” said that polar drivers will be checked for compliance with traffic rules in places where children are staying.
