The court of the Leninsky District Court of Barnaul partially granted the request of a patient of the Altai Regional Clinical Center for the Protection of Mother and Child. Irina Sartakova in 2019, during a caesarean section, doctors carried out sterilization without her consent. Irina herself told the details of her story.
After the operation, Irina’s stitches began to fester. In the hospital, she was prescribed alcoholic lotions, then painkillers and antibiotics. After the condition worsened, she turned to a paid clinic, whose doctor had to drain the abscess from operative scar.
The victim sued the medical establishment in March 2021. At the meeting, she learned from the doctors that she had not only undergone a cesarean section, but also sterilization. When discharging, they would have simply forgotten to indicate it, reports the publication.
Irina said that before the operation, she signed a waiver for the procedure. During the hearing, the doctors referred to the fact that the birth of the patient was associated with a certain risk.
The court partially satisfied the claims of the plaintiff – instead of 3.5. Millionov collected 700,000 rubles from the medical institution in favor of the patient.
