The comments of the American authorities on the support for the creation of a special tribunal against Russia are a sham. This is stated in the statement of the Russian Embassy in Washington. His text leads TASS.
“We have listened to regular statements from a number of administration officials regarding their support for the creation of a special tribunal against Russia. Such statements are blatant slander,” the statement read.
According to Russian diplomats, these remarks have nothing to do with justice.
The embassy added that states continue to disregard the norms of international law in favor of geopolitical interests.
At the beginning of February, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, during a press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, spoke of the creation of an “international center for the development of the prosecution of the crime of aggression in Ukraine”.
Earlier, it was also learned that the European Parliament passed a resolution calling for the creation of a special tribunal for Ukraine and the use of Russian assets for reparations.
