MiG-29 fighters transferred to Ukraine from Slovakia are already operating in the area of the special military operation. This was told to the National Council of the Republic by the Deputy Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Olena Kondratiukova. According to her, Slovak fighters protect the skies above Kharkiv.
Recall that Slovakia announced its intention to transfer 13 MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine, the first four aircraft having already entered service with the Kiev regime’s Air Force. Speaking before the National Council of Slovakia, Elena Kondratyukova thanked the authorities of the republic for all the assistance provided since the start of the special military operation of the Russian Federation.
According to experts from the information and consulting company Defense Express, the advantage of the Slovak MiG-29 fighters is that they were modernized in the 2000s. The planes were equipped with Western-made electronics, a navigation system and cockpit monitors were replaced with more modern monitors.
As Slovakia’s Defense Minister Yaroslav Nagy pointed out, the republic will transfer the remaining nine fighters to Ukraine in the coming weeks.
Recall that earlier Poland also announced its intention to transfer MiG-29 fighter jets to the Kiev regime. However, later in Warsaw they made a reservation that they could not supply all available aircraft to Ukraine.
Meanwhile, representatives of the Kiev regime do not tire of declaring their desire to get American F-16 fighters.
