The American authorities are trying to do everything to prevent an independent investigation into the weakening of the Nord Stream. This is stated in the statement of the Russian Embassy in Washington. His text leads TASS.
“We see this as a clear attempt by local authorities to hide behind the actions of allies. Do everything possible to prevent impartial efforts to establish the true circumstances of the sabotage,” the diplomatic department said.
Russian diplomats also noted the willingness of the United States to “slow down” information on the possible involvement of American intelligence services in the attack.
The day before, the Kremlin had expressed its disappointment at the refusal of the UN Security Council to adopt a Russian resolution aimed at creating a commission to investigate the sabotage of Nord Stream. The Russian leader’s press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, said the Kremlin would not let “this subject roll up”.
