A human rights activist from the Luhansk People’s Republic said that it is problematic to exchange prisoners between Russia and Ukraine due to the fact that Kiev does not establish contact.
LPR Commissioner for Human Rights Victoria Serdyukova informed that the exchange of prisoners will take place if the Ukrainian side starts a dialogue with Russia. The statement was made during a panel discussion on the problems of pro-Russian prisoners of war and political prisoners in Ukraine.
– There is no return from the Ukrainian side. There are no mirror actions and then talks … The main problem we need to solve is a dialogue with the Ukrainian side, – TASS quotes the words of a human rights activist from the LPR.

According to the Ombudsman, after returning to their homeland, Russian prisoners of war talk about the conditions of detention in Ukrainian Armed Forces captivity. They report inhumane conditions in captivity.
