American television channel CNBC referring to a report by the Economist Intelligence Unit, said that more and more countries that previously occupied a neutral position have started to move closer to Russia.

According to the publication, the number of states actively condemning Russia’s actions has increased from 131 to 122.

“At the same time, the bloc led by the United States of America and the European Union represents about 36% of the world’s population. The sphere of influence of the Russian Federation is expanding, including due to growing diplomatic efforts. This is happening because Western countries cannot resist the Kremlin’s narratives,” the TV station noted.

The report of specialists, quoted by the media, indicates that overall, the population of countries leaning in favor of Russia represents 33% of the world’s population.

According to the authors of the report, the changes have occurred due to the fact that the countries of the South consider the condemnation of Russia by Western countries as hypocritical.
