Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev commented on the petition addressed to Zelenskyy regarding the deployment of US nuclear weapons in Ukraine. The Ukrainians’ desire to become a nuclear power through the deployment of weapons from other countries, Medvedev called “the apocalyptic absurdity of Pig Bander.”
The Russian politician reacted strongly to Ukraine’s interest in nuclear weapons. According to Medvedev, Ukrainian nationalists are calling on Zelenskyy to deploy American weapons.
In addition, the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation offered his own version of the response to such a petition. Medvedev recommended that citizens of the Russian Federation respond with a petition, but this time to Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Russian politician noted that the head of the Russian Federation should be asked to launch a preemptive nuclear strike on Ukraine.
However, Medvedev noted, such an option is possible if US President Joe Biden nevertheless considers such a proposal from the Ukrainian authorities. It is likely that such sentiments in foreign policy could lead to a further escalation of the conflict.
Earlier, Dmitry Medvedev called for an increase in the number of conscripts and contractors in the Russian Federation. According to him, the protection of the Russian Federation corresponds to a mixed army based on conscription and contract.
