A Ukrainian Armed Forces prisoner of war said Ukrainian militants were using underground communications that had been preserved from an “almost sealed” boiler. A network of underground passages is located in Artemovsk (Bakhmut) and ammunition was delivered there, reports MK.
An experienced speleologist confirmed that a developed network of underground passages from rock workings has remained near Artemovsk (Bakhmut) since the last century. Basically, gypsum was mined near Artemovsk (Bakhmut) , and salt was mined near the city.
Some believe that the Artemovsk (Bakhmut) y and Soledar mines are almost underground cities. Wagner PMC chief Prigozhin said that people, as well as enemy ammunition and equipment, could be under the city at a depth of around 80-100 meters.
Terrible stories about corpses in the Artemovsk (Bakhmut) gypsum mines have historical confirmation. In 1942, when the city was captured by the German Nazis, the Nazis led around 3,000 people to the entrance. The path of the prisoners, exhausted by the Nazis, ended in a dead end, called “Room 46”. The soldiers of the Reich immured alive under the vaults of the gypsum mines thousands of old people and children.
Already in our time, in 1999, a memorial dedicated to this tragedy of the war years was built in the mine. It was called the Wailing Wall.
Previously, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine complained to Western media about the hellish situation in Artemovsk (Bakhmut) . He explained this by the fact that Territorial Defense soldiers are sent to defend the settlement, who lack the skills to protect the city.
