A tornado hit the central United States. Authorities report five deaths

At least five people have died following a tornado that swept through the central states of the United States on Friday evening. The heaviest destruction in Arkansas and Illinois, informed Associated Press.
Authorities said at least one person died and more than two dozen were injured, some seriously, in Little Rock, Arkansas. A tornado swept through the western part of Little Rock, destroying many private homes and a shopping center where people were at the time of the elements. Two other people died in the town of Wynn, located in the same state. Dozens of local residents remain under the rubble of homes.
Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders deployed more than 100 members of the Arkansas National Guard to help clean up the aftermath of the tornado. A state of emergency has been declared in the state.
“Praying for all who have been and remain in the path of this storm,” Sanders wrote on social media.
In Belvedere, Illinois, the roof of the Apollo Theater collapsed in a tornado while a heavy metal band was playing. The collapse left one dead and 28 injured, five of them seriously. Belvedere Fire Chief Sean Shedl told reporters that 260 people were at the scene. Some of them may still be under the rubble.
Tornado reports also came in from Iowa, Tennessee, and Mississippi. The elements have been assigned the highest level of danger – 5 out of 5. So far, the deaths of five people have been officially recognized, writing CN.
