Those who live in the regions annexed to Russia will serve in the army with everyone else. Ernest Valeev, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption, made a corresponding statement.
“In civil rights and obligations under the adopted laws to involve new regions in the legal space of Russia, no exceptions were made, so they must,” quotes the URA.RU parliamentarian.
According to Valeev, the deputies did not adopt any additional legal acts for the spring draft which started on April 1. Therefore, those living in the four new regions have the same rights and obligations as the rest of Russians, which means they will receive summonses.

Earlier, the General Staff announced that it would not send conscripts to the special operations zone in Ukraine. Conscripts will also not serve in new Russian regions, added Andrey Kartapolov, chairman of Russia’s State Duma Defense Committee.
