There are a number of strict prohibitions on this day. For example, do not look at shooting stars. In Rus’, they believed that shooting stars were the souls of the dead. If you see a shooting star, you will soon discover someone’s death.
It is better to refuse to wash things on this day, otherwise health can disappear with dirty water. You cannot pick up a trifle on the street, especially at intersections – it can be charmed. Also on this day it is better not to sit at the same table for three women, as this can lead to a big conflict.
Also, according to the signs, on the day of Fomin, you can predict the weather. If the rising sun has saturated yellow rays, it means good weather. Clouds of a bluish tint – to heat, but with rain. The night is clear – before the frost. Breasts sang – to the heat. Birds bathe – in clear sunny weather.
