Publishing houses and Qatari authorities have presented a distinguished and diverse participation in the Ramadan Book Fair in its second edition, which will be held from March 30 to April 5 at the Darb Al Sa’i headquarters in Umm Salal. The Qatari participation in the second edition of the exhibition included the participation of 31 entities and publishing houses from Qatar, as well as 48 publishing houses from 14 Arab and foreign countries. And children’s books. Qatar News Agency (QNA) monitored, on a tour of the exhibition, the most important offerings of publishing houses and Qatari entities participating in the second edition of the Ramadan Book Fair. Sheikha Sheikha Ahmed Al Thani, Head of Marketing and Sales Department at Qatar University Press, said in an exclusive statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), "We are pleased to participate in the second edition of the Ramadan Book Fair, which is held at the permanent headquarters of Darb Al-Saai in Umm Salal Muhammad.". She added that the exhibition provides the Qatari family with many Ramadan activities and events, in addition to selling books. This year is marked by the participation of a large number of publishing houses from inside and outside the State of Qatar, which serve all segments of society and the family, from children’s and young adult literature books to academic books, scientific encyclopedias, and religious books. Each person in the family finds what suits him. And about the latest publications of Qatar University Press, she said "In the Ramadan exhibition, we present the latest publications, which include books / Introduction to the Science of Law /, / Civil Contracts in Qatari Civil Law /, / Qatari Commercial Law /, and finally / Al-Wajeez in Insurance and Personality in Qatari Law / in addition to previous publications.". Sheikha Sheikha Al Thani confirmed the house’s keenness to develop publishing through free access, as a book will soon be published "History and the narrative imaginary in the Arabic novel"and a book "Social Sciences in the Arab World".. Also, all the magazines of the house are available on its website: namely: Journal: College of Sharia and Islamic Studies, International Law Journal, Tajseer Journal, Ansaq Journal. For her part, Dr. Muriel Haj Nahas, Director of the Lusail University Publishing House, said in a similar statement to QNA that the house is still emerging and was launched last March, with the aim of publishing specialized, teaching and reference books and scientific journals, which form a link between authors and readers. Through various fields of knowledge to advance and enrich the global conversation, explaining that the house will promote scientific research published in Arabic, to be translated into English, so that it can be recognized on a global and international level. She confirmed that the house that participates in the exhibition is one issue, which is "Introduction to Qatari law" Within the next few days, the second edition of the house will be published, which is entitled / The General Theory of Obligations in the Qatari Civil Law.. The Second Book of Rulings of Obligation /, noting that the house will contribute effectively to highlighting the distinction of Qatari and Arab culture, through the publication of academic works About the State of Qatar and the region, pointing out that the house is currently working on producing the first batch of textbooks. As for Dr. Aisha Al-Kuwari, Executive Director of Rosa Publishing House, she said, in a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA): "The house participates for the second time in the Ramadan Book Fair with about 200 publications, as the house presents a variety of books that meet the needs of family members to promote general culture, including adult and youth literature and various intellectual books."Pointing out that the focus has been on religious books and books related to children in general, as we find that the general trend in the exhibition is the predominance of the family atmosphere. She added that they are happy to launch a group of publications, such as a book "Country environment"in cooperation with an ambition for community development, and a book "Qatari folk tables"by writer and chef Aisha Al-Tamimi, and the book Positivity in the Workplace by writer Nour Diab, and a book "sunset trip" Writer Maryam Bouhlaika and others.
