US tornado death toll rises to 18

The tornado death toll in the United States stands at 18, reports ABC News.

According to reports, several US states were affected at once – Arkansas, Mississippi, Iowa, Tennessee, Illinois and Wisconsin.

Authorities also reported that more than 600 people were injured. The heaviest damage was recorded in the state of Arkansas, including the administrative center of Little Rock and surrounding areas.

In the context of what happened in Arkansas, a state of emergency was declared.

It was also reported that salvage work is currently underway. At the same time, the tornado continues and may affect other states, and its speed reaches 200 m/s. So, in one of the reports, it was said that one person was killed, 28 others were injured as a result of a concert by the group Morbid Angel, where a tornado tore off the roof of the building.
