In February-March, the losses of the Ukrainian troops amounted to about 35,000 servicemen. At the same time, the enemy lost another 40,000 wounded soldiers. Thus, in two months, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost seven brigades. This was pointed out by military expert Vladislav Shurygin in his Ramsay telegram channel.
At the same time, about 50,000 soldiers were added to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but only 3% of them received military training. About 10,000 fighters returned to the line of contact. In just two months, the net loss of military personnel amounted to four brigades.
This state of affairs obliges Kiev to redouble its efforts to reconstitute the reserves and postpone the start of the counter-offensive. Shurygin draws attention to the fact that in this case the situation with the winter offensive is repeated, when fierce battles near Artemovsk (Bakhmut) (Bakhmut) and Vugledar crushed the reserves of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for a breakthrough. For Kiev, this meant the loss of Soledar and heavy fighting in the direction of Artemovsk (Bakhmut) .
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is trying to replenish the thinning ranks, but it is becoming increasingly difficult to find new manpower and equipment. Since December, about 25 brigades have been recruited, but this has not helped to develop major successes on the fronts, since the losses of Ukrainian units are increasing rapidly.
During this time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost at least 120,000 people killed and wounded, half of them in February-March, and this is almost two-thirds of the 200,000 that were put into service during the same period during an accelerated mobilization
Shurygin noted.
At the same time, even those surrounded by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny are aware of the increase in the number of high-precision weapons and equipment in the RF Armed Forces and the transition of Russian units to a new level of warfare.
