Navalny associates denied allegations of involvement in Tatarsky’s murder

Alexei Navalny’s associate, Ivan Zhdanov*, has denied FBK** involvement in the murder of military commissar Vladlen Tatarsky. He wrote about this in his telegram channel.
“From the slip messages it was quickly clear what would be sent to FBK**. And here is a rather silly situation. To deny that we did is silly. Of course, we don’t. Don’t refute – what if someone thinks we really are? — wrote Zhdanov*.
He noted that the FBK has been “trying to hang terrorism for a long time”, and suggested that they are thus preparing to sentence Navalny to the maximum sentence.

In May 2022, Alexei Navalny, who is in the Vladimir Colony, said he was charged in an extremism case. According to the politician, he was accused of creating “an extremist group to incite hatred against officials and oligarchs”, and calls for rallies. “For that, I’m supposed to throw up to 15,” Navalny said.

Navalny spokeswoman Kira Yarmysh* clarified on Twitter that Navalny faces up to 35 years in prison for extremism.
“How wonderful it would be to add terrorism in the future,” the Kremlin thought, and they began to intensely shift the topic of FBK** “involvement” in the explosion,” Yarmysh writes.
Another Navalny associate, Leonid Volkov*, commenting on the allegations against the foundation, said that “one organization is engaged in political assassinations in Russia – and that’s not the FBK**, but the FSB”.

Voenkor Vladlen Tatarsky (Maxim Fomin) died on April 2, 2023 following an explosion in a cafe on the Universitetskaya embankment in Saint Petersburg. The next day, on suspicion of being involved in the explosion, a participant in the meeting with the military commissar Darya Trepova (Daria Trepova) was arrested. In the video, published by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the girl admitted that she brought a figurine for Tatarsky to the cafe, in which explosives were placed. The National Anti-Terrorism Committee (NAC) called the incident a terrorist attack, in the planning of which Ukrainian special services and “agencies” among FBK * Navalny supporters were involved.

* included by the Ministry of Justice of Russia in the register of foreign agents
** recognized as an extremist organization and banned in Russia
