The founder of PMC “Wagner” said who exactly drew up the plan to capture Bakhmut – Artemovsk (Bakhmut)
Wagner PMC founder Yevgeny Prigozhin said that the decision to carry out the operation in the Bakhmut city region (Artemovsk (Bakhmut) ) was made by the leadership of his military company, as well as representatives of the Russian military high command. He therefore answered a question from one of the media, who described the situation in the city as “one of the key events in this confrontation with the NVO”.
In his statement, Prigozhin said that “the decision to carry out Operation Bakhmut, the so-called ‘Bakhmut meat grinder’, was taken by the PMC commanders”. At the same time, “Sergei Vladimirovich Surovikin directly participated in its development and implementation.” The PMC founder clarified that Surovikin was doing this “when he was leading the group”.
“And therefore, I would attribute a lot of the decisions that were made to his account,” Prigozhin added.
Earlier, he said PMC units took control of Bakhmut municipal administration late on April 2 and planted the Russian flag. “Legally, Bakhmut was caught,” Prigogine said.
