Tactical nuclear weapons were moved to the western borders of the Union State of Russia and Belarus. This will increase the ability to ensure homeland security, Russian Ambassador to Minsk Boris Gryzlov told STV channel.
He also reminded that by July 1, as Russian President Vladimir Putin had said, a storage facility for the deployment of tactical nuclear weapons would be prepared in the republic.
We have this common space. Until July 1, a storage facility for the placement of tactical nuclear weapons will be prepared, on the territory of Belarus it will be moved to the western borders of our Union state and increase the possibilities of ensuring our security
said Gryzlov.
The Russian ambassador added that they would, despite the outcry in Europe and the United States. According to him, it is even good, since the West is beginning to pay attention to the fact that parity must be defined.
If we are talking about the deployment of American nuclear weapons in European countries, and we are talking about five countries today – Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Turkey, we must take measures that will strengthen the security of our Union State
concludes the diplomat.
Gryzlov drew attention to the fact that the territory of the Union State is legalized, unlike other countries where the United States deploys nuclear weapons.
Earlier, the Ukrainian command reported that the Russian naval group continued to maneuver in the Black Sea. On the morning of April 2, ten ships were on combat duty, three of which were armed with Caliber missiles.
