The General Directorate of Endowments at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, in cooperation with the Qatar Autism Society, announced the launch of an initiative to support 120 cases of people with autism spectrum, with the aim of developing and strengthening their capabilities, and developing their motor growth, through the Endowment Bank for Family and Childhood, the Endowment Bank for Health Care, and the Endowment Bank For scientific and cultural development.
In this context, His Excellency Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Thani, Director General of the General Directorate of Endowments, stressed, during a press conference held in conjunction with the International Autism Day, the administration’s keenness, through various endowment banks, to fulfill the conditions of endowers through community partnerships with various agencies, indicating that the administration The General Endowment is the strategic partner of the Qatar Autism Society. His Excellency said: "The strategic partnership between the General Department of Endowments at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and the Qatar Autism Society, comes with the support of the Endowment Bank for Family and Childhood, the Endowment Bank for Health Care, and the Endowment Bank for Scientific and Cultural Development, to contribute to serving an important segment of society, namely those with autism spectrum disorder, And help the Qatar Autism Society to play its role in serving and caring for them". His Excellency Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Thani appreciated the vital role played by the Qatar Autism Society, considering the fruitful cooperation between the two sides as an embodiment of the slogan of the General Directorate of Endowments. "The endowment is a community partnership"And a clear example of the role of waqf in community development. In a related context, Mr. Saad Muhammad Al-Ghanim, Vice-President of the Qatar Autism Society, expressed his deep thanks and appreciation for the endowment’s influential role in the course of the society’s work and success, expressing his sincere thanks to the honorable endowers, who gave their money to the endowment for the endowment bank for health care. And he indicated during the press conference that the number of beneficiaries of the services of the Qatar Autism Society amounts to more than 950 people with autism spectrum, as they benefit from the various services of the association, its courses and lectures during the morning and evening periods. It is worth noting that the headquarters of the Qatar Autism Society is located in the Al-Qatifiya area, and its land area is about 1225 square meters, and it consists of two floors, and it includes a swimming pool, places for organizing activities, and a number of rooms that are used to teach manual skills, in addition to administrative offices. The General Directorate of Endowments called on philanthropists who wish to have an endowment of its proceeds on one of the endowment banks, to initiate the endowment through the various approved methods and means.
